Iki is a strategy game that takes you to medieval Japan, in the heart of the Edo period (1603-1868). You will live a whole year in the city and try to become the best Edokko (child of Edo) by looking after the well-being and prosperity of the city and its inhabitants. The objective is to accumulate the most IKI, a philosophical concept of the ideal life, in order to win the game. Iki is suitable for ages 14+, for 2 to 4 players, and games last approximately 60-90 minutes.
How to win?
Live a whole year in Edo and try to become the best Edokko, the "child of Edo", by looking after the well-being and prosperity of the city and its inhabitants. Recruit characters from different trades, make them work in the main street of Nihonbashi, and help them gain experience until they retire.
The winner is the Edokko who has accumulated the most IKI, a philosophical concept from the Edo period considered an ideal way of life.
