MeroMero - Popoyo Chaï Tea Compact Backpack

They were asked to create a children's bag... so at MeroMero, they did! They wanted to keep the same design as the Squamish, but by adding external pockets, a magnetic closure system, and a few reflective details. And to make it more "fun" (and durable), they played with the color range and the fabrics already in stock. The result: the POPOYO, a small backpack for toddlers, but large enough to hold school books, a pencil case, a water bottle, and a few biscuits.

Recycled and/or "eco-responsible" materials: 1000D ultra-resistant recycled nylon certified Bluesign® and GRS (Global Recycled Standard). PFC-free water repellent treatment. All materials comply with European REACH regulations.

Responsible manufacturing: for years, we have been working with a Japanese partner in Vietnam, specializing in technical products (safety harnesses, paragliding sails, and technical backpacks). They are ISO 9001 certified for quality (Intertek), ISO 14001 (environment), and have obtained WRAP (World Responsible Accredited Production) certification. This annual audit is the largest environmental, professional, and ethical certification program worldwide.

"Less" polluting transport: we chose to ship goods by boat from Ho Chi Minh port (very close to the factory) to Fos-sur-Mer, then by truck to our warehouse in Annecy. When we are not in a hurry, we go up the Rhône by barge (peniche) then by truck for the last few kilometers. Sometimes we have a few boxes shipped by plane, but this remains exceptional.
